Cards Available For
Kentucky
State Park
Golf Courses In 2008
FRANKFORT,
Ky.
–The best golf in
Kentucky
is now available at the 20 courses operated by the Kentucky
Department of Parks. For 2008, the Kentucky Golf Trail is again
offering a “trail card” that provides unlimited paid green fees for
the cardholder.
The trail card fees have remained
the same and are sold at all state park golf courses and are valid
through
Dec. 31, 2008.
Cards start at $350 for senior players (62 and older). For more

The trail cards can be
used at all state park courses, including the eight “Signature
Series” that offer championship play surrounded by some of the most
scenic natural beauty the parks have to offer. Four of the Signature
Series courses have received national accolades from Golf Digest as
Best New Affordable and Best New Places to Play.

State Park
near
Somerset
is nearing completion of a new 18-hole golf course and has been
added to the list of Signature Series courses. Brian Ault, designer
of Dale Hollow and Hidden Cove at
Grayson
Lake,
both recognized nationally by Golf Digest, designed the course. The
course is projected to open in late May, 2008.
Besides the renovation of General
Burnside and the addition to the Signature Series courses, a new
clubhouse being built at Hidden Cove Golf Course at
Grayson
Lake
State Park
near Grayson is scheduled to open in early February.
Kentucky State Parks
will continue offering the Tee’s & Zzz’s golf and lodging packages
at resort parks. Rates start at $89 per person per night from
November through March and $109 April through October.

State Park

other activities such as hiking, swimming, boating, and wildlife
